About The Speaker | : | Ir Harbans Singh is an Engineer, Chartered Arbitrator, Mediator, Conciliator and Advocate & Solocitor. He commenced his career with the Public Works Department prior to joining an international German consultancy practice with whom he worked locally and then in Kobienz as a designer, resident engineer and contract administrator. Ir Harbans subsequently served with a local consultancy firm in various professional capacities and is cu rrently the Director of HSH Consult Sdn. Bhd. He is a regular contributor to Buletin Ingenieur and other related publications. Ir Harbans is the recipient of a number of awards, including IEM’s Tan Sri Hj Yusoff Prize for an outstanding technical paper (2001), the Cedric Barclay Award and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrator’s Award for the Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration Examination (Oxford 2003). Ir Harbans is also the author of a series of four books entitled “Engineering and Construction Contracts Management”, a contributor to ‘The Malaysian Standard Precedents and Forms” and a regular speaker at courses and seminars. | ||

Objektif
Selepas menghadiri kursus ini peserta-peserta akan dapat memahami pendekatan perolehan, ciri-ciri utama dan fungsi kontrak ‘design and build/ turnkey projects’ dalam penyediaan dokumen kontrak.
Kumpulan sasaran
Penyertaan kursus adalah dibuka kepada konsultan professional seperti Jurutera, Arkitek dan Juruukur Bahan yang sedang mengendalikan projek-projek JKR, kontraktor-kontraktor, pemaju-pemaju bangunan dan rumah, dan individu – individu yang berminat untuk melengkapkan ilmu pengetahuan mereka mengenai tajuk yang tersebut di atas.
Penyertaan adalah berdasarkan ‘first come first served’. Terhad kepada 100 orang yang pertama sahaja.
BIODATA PENCERAMAH: SR. JUNAIDAH BT SULAIMAN
Memulakan karier sebagai Juruukur Bahan di Cawangan Kontrak & Ukur Bahan, Ibu Pejabat JKR Malaysia dalam tahun 1984. Berkhidmat di Unit Bangunan Am CKUB sehingga Julai 1986 dan kemudiannya bertugas di Unit Kontrak, Penyenggaraan & Bumiputera Cawangan Negeri Johor sehingga Jun 1989. Berpindah semula ke Ibu Pejabat JKR Malaysia dan bertugas di Bahagian Kerja Bangunan Am CKUB sehingga Jan 2004. Mempunyai lebih 15 tahun pengalaman dalam pengurusan kontrak, khasnya pentadbiran pra-kontrak. Berpeluang mengendalikan pelbagai jenis kontrak kerja samada konvensional mahupun reka & bina. Beliau kemudiannya menganggotai Unit Piawai/BQ di bawah Bahagian Khidmat Pengurusan & Pentadbiran CKUB mulai Februari 2004. Di antara bidang tugas dalam tempoh tersebut termasuklah pembangunan sistem IT, khasnya membangunkan “master library” bagi pakej pengukuran dan penyediaan Senarai Kuantiti bagi memastikan penyeragaman di dalam senarai kuantiti yang disediakan oleh JKR, program latihan khasnya dalam penyediaan BQ dan penilaian tender, penstrukturan semula dan perancangan strategik CKUB. Mulai Jun 2006, beliau telah bertukar untuk mengganggotai Cawangan Pengurusan Projek Kompleks (PROKOM) yang berfungsi sebagai agen perubahan dan peneraju pembangunan inovasi dan inisiatif baru di JKR.Tugas khusus beliau di PROKOM adalah mengkaji dan menilai serta membangunkan strategi perolehan alternatif yang mampu digunapakai di Malaysia setanding dengan amalan terbaik dunia.
